PROJECTS
I added new css for my journal, if you couldn't tell.
Thank you to `
Elandria [link] for creating it to share with everyone.
Eventually I hope to put my own pictures into it, but I enjoy the layout too much to actually change that.
OK, the main thing I'm working on now is something you have already gotten a bitter taste of. The picture "I wouldn't know either" that I did is of my characters Seth and Mieko Kaida (her name is in the actual Japanese format, so her first name is Kaida).
I'm working on the story surrounding Seth, but I'm off to a bumpy start. So bumpy in fact, that out of 14 pages I've written, there has only been one occurrence that was deemed "really good" and the rest was worth throwing out for the most part.
I want to write this story with illustrations to go along with it, not exactly like a comic book though. I don't want to draw the entire story as a comic book, just a picture of something that is happening within the section of context I decide to post. As in, I will write a section of the story in the artist's statement (along with my own notes) underneath a picture to go along with that.
Sound good?
Of course it does, because there is no one who read this that will say otherwise.
Other than that, I might scan in a few art projects I did over the last semester.
IN REAL LIFE
Saturday I got to go to one of Anonymous's protests against Scientology. Ours was really really small, the 'church' in Cincinnati isn't that big, and neither is the Anonymous crowd. However, there were around 20-30 people that showed up. My friend and I stuck around for at least two and a half hours.
I had never been to a protest against anything before, but I still didn't expect to have to much fun. The goal of this protest was against "Fair Game" (
[link] explains everything) so we had a game of Twister going, several of the guys brought speakers for the ipods so we were listening to music and dancing, and it was just a relatively good time ^_^
There is a person who took a bunch of pictures that you can see
[link] there. I would post some, but to save the pictures you have to create an account with the website and I don't feel like doing that. I'm the one with the green scarf around my head and a blue/silver mask on. I'm the "pretty fembot" haha.
CONVENTIONS
For more info on the cosplay group, go to the "Kamen Ramen" link at the top.
MTAC 2008
-We had more fun hanging out then actually being at the convention. I haven't made the video yet, but I'm probably going to combine it with OMGcon in June.
Ohayocon 2008
-This was an amazing convention with a lot of good cosplays. The video I made for it has been my best one yet. Which, you can find all the videos I've been talking about under the account of Elendil101. The anime punch video, however, is on YouTube under the account of Amaya Sukai.
2007Sugoicon
-This was the first attempt of Kamen Ramen to do a cosplay. We chose to do Nerima Daikon Brothers, there were a few things off but so far it has been our best attempt yet. I was Mako, my roommate Caleb was Ichiro, and my current boyfriend (who I wasn't going out with at the time) was Hideki. The con itself was decent, but the vendor's room was the best part. There wasn't a whole lot of panels we wanted to go to.
Tsubasacon
- No video for this one. I tried cosplaying L again, but the stuff we sprayed in my hair was staining my cloths and was really nasty. Other than that, I had fun with the two other girls I went with just going to panels. It's a pretty small con.
Ikasucon
-A lot of things happened at this con. My cosplay group "Kamen Ramen" started forming, I met the man I'm currently going out with for the first time, I made a much MUCH better video, and my newly found roommates got to hang out (I had recently moved into a two-bedroom apartment with three other people who all went, so we got to hang out). I was already really good friends with the other girl I was living with, decent friends with one of the guys, and I barely knew the other guy. We're not going into that though -_-;
Anime Punch
-I consider this to be my first con, I had been to one day at Sugoicon before, but I wasn't with anyone and didn't have a whole lot of fun because I didn't know what to do... This one was fun because I went with a group of people that I enjoyed being around, I cosplayed as L along with 10 other people -_-; my hair looked the best though! >_> hehe. The video I created for this one came from a little digital camera, so it isn't that good.

Green's my favorite color, obviously (well, I guess I think it's obvious, but it may not be. IRL it's obvious, I mean... my glasses are green, my messanger bag is green, my car is green(ish), the walls of my room are green... ) yeah.
