Anime makes me go "Oink"!

PROJECTS

Once again, another plan to get me into artist alley. I've really wanted to do something for awhile now, and I think I found it.

I've uploaded some of the pictures, so as you can see, they are pigs. Little 3-inch porcelain piggy banks that are colored to look like anime characters. I'm hoping to be able to sell these at an upcoming convention along with maybe a few wooden swords and my boyfriend wants to make oragami lilies. I've had people who want to donate art and stuff, but I don't want to turn it into a garage sale, so who knows?

The coloring book idea may still happen, but I think I may just take my Kisuke one and go buy a bunch of restaurant-style crayon packets and have a contest. Whoever wins will get something... Maybe it'll be a grab-bag.
I'm just cooking up all kinds of ideas ^_^

IN REAL LIFE

My Neliel cosplay is completely finished.

Except for the actual outfit.

I have the wig, sword, mask, and shoes. I need the shirt, pants, and gloves.

I'm still debating on if I'm going to make a scabbard out of something. I don't really want to use wood again, but that's because I'm a wimp.
----

I turned 20 on the 1st of August! Yeah, my mommy bought me a LG 22-inch LCD flatscreen TV. I've watched about 15 hours of Kyo Kara Maoh, which was split like 8 hours and then 7 hours. Something like that. Each split being in one sitting. Most of the time I was working on my sword while watching it. I've also finally started playing Kingdom Hearts II, so I played that for 6 hours one night. So since I've gotten it (which was last Thursday, I didn't get it right on my birthday) I've stayed up till 5 or 6 in the morning playing games and watching movies/animes. Granted, I staid at Derek's house Friday and Saturday night, so it hasn't been that many nights.

She also bought me a really really nice leather jacket for winter. I was surprised to see it at Sam's already. It's a really nice red color ^_^

We did have a great time on my birthday, though. My mom treated myself, my boyfriend (derek), and two of my girl friends to a really nice lunch at Claddagh's (which is an irish pub) and then to go see Mummy 3, which was better than I thought it was going to be.

CONVENTIONS

Ikasucon 2008
-I had an amazing time. The company was great, the con was great, and I spent more money than I needed to on food. I think I gained a lot of weight, but I can't notice anymore at the weight I'm at. Anyways, I'll have the video up on the website by the end of the week. The only complaints I have about the convention deal with the fact that the vending room prices (as in, the price the vender's pay to have a table) is $500 and a lot of the vender's weren't making that much money. Also, there were a bunch of issues that I have regarding a certain special guest.

MTAC 2008
-We had more fun hanging out then actually being at the convention. I haven't made the video yet, but I'm probably going to combine it with OMGcon in June.

Ohayocon 2008
-This was an amazing convention with a lot of good cosplays. The video I made for it has been my best one yet. Which, you can find all the videos I've been talking about under the account of Elendil101. The anime punch video, however, is on YouTube under the account of Amaya Sukai.

2007

Sugoicon
-This was the first attempt of Kamen Ramen to do a cosplay. We chose to do Nerima Daikon Brothers, there were a few things off but so far it has been our best attempt yet. I was Mako, my roommate Caleb was Ichiro, and my current boyfriend (who I wasn't going out with at the time) was Hideki. The con itself was decent, but the vendor's room was the best part. There wasn't a whole lot of panels we wanted to go to.

Tsubasacon
- No video for this one. I tried cosplaying L again, but the stuff we sprayed in my hair was staining my cloths and was really nasty. Other than that, I had fun with the two other girls I went with just going to panels. It's a pretty small con.

Ikasucon
-A lot of things happened at this con. My cosplay group "Kamen Ramen" started forming, I met the man I'm currently going out with for the first time, I made a much MUCH better video, and my newly found roommates got to hang out (I had recently moved into a two-bedroom apartment with three other people who all went, so we got to hang out). I was already really good friends with the other girl I was living with, decent friends with one of the guys, and I barely knew the other guy. We're not going into that though -_-;

Anime Punch
-I consider this to be my first con, I had been to one day at Sugoicon before, but I wasn't with anyone and didn't have a whole lot of fun because I didn't know what to do... This one was fun because I went with a group of people that I enjoyed being around, I cosplayed as L along with 10 other people -_-; my hair looked the best though! >_> hehe. The video I created for this one came from a little digital camera, so it isn't that good.

PROJECTS

Ok, I've got this idea that will get me into artist alley. I'm going to start a coloring book. I'll do things like I did with the lineart of Kisuke I did, but probably just using screenshots and outlining those. So, if you have any preferred anime characters you would like to color in, tell me. I mean, I have the basics like bleach, naruto, fma, and death note. I'll probably do like... Dragonball Z, Mythical Detective Loki: Ragnarok, Nerima Daikon Brothers, Trigun, and a few others. But we're talking like, one or two from each series. Except bleach, that's gonna have like, five, because I want it to ^_^.

So, give me suggestions!

I'm working on the video for Ikasucon. It's taking me forever, I have so much good footage and ideas for it. Hopefully it won't turn out terrible.

IN REAL LIFE

Ikasucon was great, I had a lot of fun.

It's hard to believe that school will be starting back up in almost less than a month. I hate it. But, I think this year will be better since I'm not going to work and I'll be at home so I'll hopefully be able to focus on stuff and have more room to do it.

Derek bought me this awesome bleach/d-grayman bag from the con for my birthday. He also bought me whatever he is going to give me for our 6th anniversary, but that isn't until September 4th. I think I know what I'm going to get him, if it's available. I also got a few keychains (one Kisuke, the other Grimmjow) and a Kisuke cell phone charm. There was a $10 grab bag too, but I bought that mostly because it said "Brooklyn RAAAAAGE" on it (watch Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series!).

PROJECTS

THE KAMEN RAMEN WEBSITE IS PRETTY MUCH FINISHED! CHECK IT OUT!

The fanart of Al'bert looks worse every time I see it's thumbnail. I'm going to have to do something special to make up for it.

I went to the zoo with my boyfriend the other week and took a few pictures, but I got tired really fast and lost heart, so I may only be able to upload a few good ones. There are some other pictures too that I may upload.

I haven't even touched the Seth story, but I do want to write it. It's just going to have to be completely rewritten for me to be satisfied with it.

Right now I'm working on my his/her scrapbook. I only have a few pictures and a lot of movie tickets though, haha.

IN REAL LIFE

EVERYONE... GO SEE WALL-E! RIGHT NOW! WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE! OMGOSH YOU HAVE NO IDEA! This movie is absolutely amazing! Pixar can't do any better than this! It's impossible! The storytelling, the artistry, the absolute perfect storyline, plot, and meaning. Derek (boyfriend) and I were absolutely stunned and still contemplating the ideals the movie even three days later. We haven't seen a bad movie in awhile. First it was the Spiderwick Chronicles, then Prince Caspian, then Ironman, then Kung Fu Panda, then Hulk, Speed Racer, and now Wall-e. There are SO many good movies this summer!

Oh, by the way, a Two Story 3 has been announced for 2010. The storyline is that Woody, Buzz, and everyone else get dumped in a daycare after Andy leaves for College. Sounds more and more like The Brave Little Toaster.

Cars 2 has also been announced for 2012, no storyline has been revealed yet.

I'm kinda iffy on both of these movies, but Pixar has not let me down yet... not once. So I'm just gonna trust 'em.

I'm not playing FFXI for at least a month, starting now. Busy schedules and some other stuff, including the fact that I actually really don't like playing it that much. So why do I have pictures of it you ask? Because it is still pretty. I'm proud of how far I've come with it, but if the game gets destroyed and I can never play again, I will be more happy than sad. What a waste of money.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

-I may only go one day. A Eureka 7 cosplay is possible.

Tsubasacon 2008
-I dunno If I'm going to this one yet.

Ikasucon 2008
-Ikasucon is coming up in July, no cosplay is planned, sadly.

OMG 2008
-Derek and I were by ourselves most of the time. We went to a few panels and saw a few animes, but there wasn't much we wanted to do. The hotel was terrible. The convention itself was good, but hanging out with more people would have helped it. We went with some friends, but they disappeared a lot.

Worst. Video. Ever.
